1. Project Overview:

<aside> ✏️ Summary: This concept project involved designing a user-friendly flight booking app. I undertook the entire design process independently, from research to high fidelity designs. The goal was to streamline the flight booking process and enhance the user experience. The project was completed within a day, showcasing my ability to rapidly create a comprehensive design from scratch.

5. Ideation:

<aside> 🛠 Brainstorming: Drew inspiration from various sources, including Dribbble and Behance, as well as existing airline booking apps like Cheapflights. This helped in understanding current design trends and best practices. Analyzed features, user interfaces, and user experiences from these platforms to generate innovative ideas for solving the identified problems. Conducted multiple brainstorming sessions to discuss and refine these ideas, ensuring a comprehensive approach to the design process.

Design Iterations: Created wireframes to visualize initial ideas, incorporating feedback from other designers. Iteratively refined the designs through multiple rounds of testing and adjustments to ensure the best user experience.

6. Prototype:

<aside> 🔥 For the design phase, I translated the refined wireframes into high fidelity designs using Figma. This allowed me to create a realistic simulation of the user experience, ensuring that the design flows intuitively from one screen to the next. The high fidelity designs were invaluable for visualizing the final product and planning for future usability tests and feedback gathering before moving into development.

You can explore the high fidelity designs hosted on Figma, which showcase the key screens and functionalities:

  1. Home Screen: Displays the initial interface for planning a trip.
  2. Flight Selection: Allows users to select their flight and see available options.
  3. Seat Selection: Provides a detailed seat map for users to choose their preferred seats.
  4. Boarding Pass: Shows the final boarding pass for the selected flight.

These designs illustrate the cohesive design and smooth user interactions that aim to enhance the overall user experience.
